MYSTERY CARS

Photos of veteran cars are sometimes so 'orrible you can't make out what you're looking at while others are just wonderful and tell a story of days gone by.  Every now and then such a picture arrives on the desk and help is sometimes needed with the identification of cars, location, date and even the people.  Perhaps you can help?  We offer no prizes, just profound thanks, but of course your name will appear along with the information you submit.

If you would like to contribute to the demystification of these pictures, please email Peter Ransom on pjransom@westnet.com.au

This picture was taken on 2 July 1907 in an Australian regional city.  We can identify the  (left to right) the de Dion Bouton, Curved Dash Oldsmobile and another Oldsmobile (fourth from left), but what are the others?  This picture has excellent detail - what else can you tell us?
For many years this picture, taken in Brisbane but date unknown, has hung in the VCCAQ Clubrooms.  On the left we see a c.1913 12-16 H.P. Sunbeam with an Australian-built body and a windscreen of a type that was made in Sydney.  The Delage is probably a little earlier, but nobody has been able to make a positive identification.  What are your thoughts?
I suspect these pictures show the same car - a pre-war Talbot.  The upper photo was taken in early 1915 and the lower was taken in April 1916, both by the same photographer and in Western Australia.  Can anyone say what model this is?
The picture's caption tells us about the occasion, year and location but the car's identity remains a mystery.
