As part of the Club's 50th Anniversary Year, we spent a long weekend (about eight days, actually) in and around the town of Miles, situated on the Darling Downs about 300km to the west of Brisbane. As some pictures show, the district was at the time in the grip of a severe drought that has since broken. Period costume was worn on a couple of occasions and local hospitatlity was wonderful.
